122-Thursday Tree Love

Never Trust your fears; they don’t know your strength.”

This week has been a busy one as we had collaborated with the Department of Psychology for organizing a couple of lectures on Application of Positive Psychology in Psychotherapy and Counseling. The second session was on Heart and Soul of Change in Counseling & Psychotherapy. The Speaker was Dr B J Prashantham, Prof. of Counseling Psychology, institute of Human Relations. Counseling and Psychotherapy, Vellore. Tamilnadu. It was an interesting session with plenty of practical experiences in counseling, refreshing to the mind. I am attending  lectures after a long time – this is the first one in 2022.

The focus was on how to be aware and focus on our top five strengths and use it more often. I was happy to read my scores that I was familiar to certain extent. The one strength that I have not used much is the curiosity and interest in the world (which shows as my strength). Glad to explore and discover subjects and topics that are new and fascinating. The best part of this exercise is that all of us can take this test, and we all have strengths, which we can use to understand ourselves and also empower self.

While returning back to my home; I spotted this tree which was just near the department of Psychology and I was impressed with the way this tree has survived and adapted itself to the environment.

Thursday Tree love is a photo feature on Parul’s blog hosted on the second and fourth Thursday of every month. You are most welcome to join in, all you need to do is:

  3. Hope you had a lovely Easter, Angela. I loved that quote and the thoughts on identifying our strengths. As much as we ignore we are stronger than we think we are. Thank you for saying that. I needed to hear that. I also loved the tree and that glimpse of setting Sun. See you soon for today's edition. I am still working on it!
