K- Kindness

This April for the #A-Z 2020 I have taken short stories from books of Fr Anthony De Mello – “the song of the bird” and the “prayer of the frog” .  I would like to share these stories and hopefully believe that these stories will inspire you too.

A man offered to pay a sum of money to his twelve year old daughter if she mowed the lawn. The little girl went at the task with great zest and by evening the whole lawn had been beautifully mowed – well, everything except a large uncut patch of grass in one corner.

When the man said he couldn’t pay the sum agreed upon because the whole lawn hadn’t been mowed, the girl said she was ready to forego the money, but would not cut the grass in the patch.

Curious to find out why, he checked the uncut patch. There, right in the center of the patch, sat a large toad. The girl had been too tender hearted to run over it with the lawn-mower.

Children are innocent and not only tender hearted but are sensitive and kind. No doubt Jesus said, unless you become like little children you will not enter the kingdom of God.

Let us practice kindness as we face the COVID 19 by being kind to ourselves and others, by #staying at home, #staying safe, not becoming victim of fake news, Sanitizing  our hands and join the fight against Corona.

Kindness is the beauty that never fades…..

Thanks for reading this post, hope you are at home and safe.

Be Blessed & Be Happy !

  1. Another beautiful story with a great message. As they say a little thought and a little kindness are often worth more than a great deal of money.
