This April for the #A-Z 2020 I have taken
short stories from books of Fr Anthony De Mello – “the song of the
bird” and the “prayer of the frog” .
I would like to share these stories and hopefully believe that these stories
will inspire you too.
God decided to visit
he earth so He sent an angel to survey the place before his visit.
The angel brought
back this report: “Most of them are starving and most of them are unemployed.”
God said “Then I
shall become incarnate in the form of food for the hungry and work for the
unemployed.
I like this short parable
as it has deep implications. So many lives lost in the name of religion. If this is what God himself thinks about human
beings, then I think there is no greater religion than religion of humanity, with
the current state of affairs globally we are challenged to respond with love
and compassion.
This is the time to
stand united together and get involved and our bit. However small it does make
a difference. Let’s maintain social distancing, maintain hygiene by constantly
washing hands and if there is any problem like throat pain, cough and fever do
take medical help.
#Stay home and Stay
safe !
Be Blessed & Be Happy !
I wish everyone would feel the same.
ReplyDeleteTo be human also means to be spiritual... the current crisis has brought the world together and we are learning lessons from one another... lets be responsible by staying home and staying safe.. Thanks for being here.
ReplyDeletePowerful message Genevive thank you .. respond with compassion and kindness
ReplyDeleteTrue:) Susan-we are all children of the universe before we divide ourselves into different religion. Nothing else is greater than compassion and kindness.
