Thursday Tree Love 2

“There is always music amongst the tree in the garden, but our hearts must be very quiet to hear it” Minnie Aumonier

I was quite fascinated by the Banyan tree which is 100 years old - at Matru Mandir, Aurobindo Ashram, Puducherry. The beauty of this banyan tree is that it brings out roots which grow with branches towards the ground and take root to become new trunks... I stood there in this place just looking at it with awe and wonder.

It was a dream come true for me to travel and see the ashram,  spend time near this tree and go around this quiet place; which was so peaceful and the sound of the breeze touching the branches were magical.

I moved along for some more distance and sat on the stone bench closer to the trees enjoying the very presence of the trees around with a grateful heart, for those who have toiled hard to create such a beautiful ambience and experience for the visitors.

  1. It really is a beautiful setting! I am so fortunate to live among pines, oaks, cedars, magnolias, and willows.
