Tree Love 110

“If you get tired, learn to rest and not quit” Bansky

Glad to post today; these pictures were sent by my friend Subandhra while she was on a holiday at Srinagar. This month “September 10 is International Day for Suicide Prevention” A day to speak and raise our voices to say “NO” to Suicide and “YES” to Life.

When we get tired of life it’s important that we take short breaks, recoup and refresh and when we are exhausted and feeling sad, low depressed – it is okay to ask for help. There are plenty of resources all around us, never forget to seek help and also help those who are looking for someone to reach out to them. Let us be sensitive to what is happening around us and extend a helping hand to those who are vulnerable – depression is treatable and suicide is preventable.

Thursday Tree love  is a photo feature on Parul’s blog hosted on second and fourth Thursday of every month.   You are most welcome to join in, all you need to do is:

Post a picture of a tree on your blog

  1. Beautiful tree Angela! And absolutely timely message .. the pandemic has meant all of us are homebound and restricted in our usual activities. Talking to someone or taking help will be most useful!

  3. Besides a pandemic of a virus we are undergoing a pandemic of all kinds of mental health issues. We all need to be kind to each other, but there is also so much anger and hate. How do we get past this? Appreciating nature is a small beginning. Nice tree; the leaves remind me of our rhododendron.

    1. Hi Alana, thanks for your comment. I do agree the pandemic has raked up a lot of mental health issues - and yes there's much of pent up emotions and the young ones are finding unhealthy way of addressing anger and other issues to cope. We all can make a difference in small ways where ever we are by offering our time and listen help them vent and make some minor changes in their life.

  4. What a beautiful tree. Looks like a rubber one but not sure. Your message on taking a break is what I needed to hear. There are days I am exhausted and then I try to do more vs take rest to manage. Thanks for joining, Angela. See you tomorrow.
