Tree love—40

The art of being happy lies in the power of extracting happiness from common things”

I visited Anjana Ram from the YWCA of Secunderabad, one of our dynamic youth member as she  was leaving the country for further studies. I stopped by her place to appreciate her and bid her good bye.

What I saw filled me with happiness. A well kept small little garden within the compound, right on the main road… I saw these trees  maintained so well. I clicked pictures ..… surrounding myself with green energizes me so I created a memory for myself.

Today as I post this tree love – my heart feels burdened and painful as I keep watching the news and getting updates on whatsapp about our neighboring state Kerala which is in crisis because of floods. It was such a pathetic sight to watch the tree falls and the landslides giving rise to anxiety and fear as I watched it helplessly a few videos and forwards.

At the same time I am  also overwhelmed by the responses of the various groups, NGO’s Religious groups, Institutions and celebrities coming together to do their part in reaching out to lakhs of people being displaced and those who have lost their lives.  Let us pray for Kerala and do whatever we can to help them rebuild their lives.

Thursday Tree love  is a photo feature on Parul’s blog hosted on second and fourth Thursday of every month.   You are most welcome to join in, all you need to do is:

Post a picture of a tree on your blog
Thank you for reading this post;
May you be blessed!

  2. That is a beautiful garden. I see hibiscus and other plants I am not familiar with. A lot of purple, one of my favorite colors.
