Tree Love- 138

“Evolve with every experience” – Lailah Gifty Akita

I am delayed in posting – it’s been a busy week. I had been regularly visiting the prison to take classes for PG students. The prison gives them opportunity not just to change their behaviors but also free education to those who want to continue education.

The morning hours goes for the students who come to me for counseling, and the afternoon for  the prison. This year two papers were given and I was busy planning my syllabus and   accordingly completing them within a specific period. I clicked this tree while I was parking my bike in the premises for I was impressed with the way it was giving shade to so many vehicles. I have been observing that tree for few years now and this year I found it has grown huge spreading its branches wide and high too, the tree looked beautiful and I could not stop myself but click.

We are given opportunities too by life for change, we may not be in the prison – but we can imprison ourselves by our old habits, living in the past, bad attitudes…we all can learn from our past move on like the students who are working hard to study, not just knowledge, but also changing and growing like these wonderful trees that’s spreading its branches to reach out in giving shade to so many.

Thursday Tree love  is a photo feature on Parul’s blog hosted on second and fourth Thursday of every month.   You are most welcome to join in, all you need to do is:

  2. I loved how you said that we are all prisoners of our own habits, Angela. I wish we can break this prison and be better for ourselves. Thanks for joining. I missed last edition but working on today's.
