“Be strong, be fearless, and be beautiful. Believe that
anything is possible ”
I found another
picture from my album, and this too is from Araku
Valley, Vizag. Thinking of women’s day which we recently
celebrated; the theme for this year is “Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable
Tomorrow”
The biases that operate against women are real and
they reside in the minds of both men and women alike. Break the Bias and never
ever give up, we as women need to stop self limiting bias to ourselves and
start affirming ourselves every day for how far we have come… and we are still
in process.. Wishing all the lovely women reading his post, Happy Women’s day
2022.

Thank
you for reading this post; I would love to know your thoughts...
May you be Happy & Blessed !
Beautiful but steep. Yes, women can sometimes be our own worse enemies. It's sometimes like we are going backwards and not forwards. There's a lot of that here in the United States, sadly.
ReplyDeleteYes it is steep, one must be careful when we move around. Agree with you that sometimes we are moving backwards..surprised to hear about US.. the kind of image US has and portrayed is different from reality. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, appreciate you Alana
DeleteSuch an inspiring post Angela. I agree that many women (self included) have doubts about achieving some goals purely for gender bias. Has to be overcome..
ReplyDeleteThank Archana, glad you found this post inspiring. I am also included:)we are so much conditioned by culture and there are somethings ingrained in our personality... so it will take time for us to overcome, we are all in together in this process... glad at least we are aware... thanks to all those women in our lives who have helped us at least to think.. for ourselves, rather than take scripts that are handed down:)
DeleteGlad to hear that you found this post inspiring Archana, thanks for sharing your thoughts. I include myself too:) for too long in our lives we have been going along with scripts given to us... its time we start writing our own scripts.. things will change when we rationalize every doubt and limiting beliefs. Take care and have a lovely weekend.
DeleteSelf doubt is the reason so many women don't raise their hands for things they are so capable of. thanks for the reminder Angela to let go of self doubt. Beautiful shot of the valley. See you around soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks Parul, its always a pleasure to hear from you - glad you liked this shot in the valley and yes will soon connect.
DeleteHappy Women's Day to you too, Angela! The quote spoke to me!!
ReplyDeleteYou're right—the ingrained biases need a lot of working upon, but I do agree that we women have come a long way and as a work in progress, we need more of us to actively work towards ensure the fight for equality isn't just limited to lip service but implemented across all levels. I believe slowly but surely things will change for the better.
