“No
one has become poor by giving” Anne Frank
We
enjoyed the taste of food, as we sprinkled water on the leaf before food was
served; and later it was folded neatly and disposed. The other south Indians
used banana leaf to serve and I always loved eating food served in these
leaves. Last year when I visited Madurai, we deliberately chose restaurant that
was traditional and served in the banana leaf with variety of food.
These
trees inspire me on thoughts of giving; some beautiful quotes to ponder upon:
“For
it is in giving that we receive” Francis of Assisi
“Happiness
is not having a lot; happiness is giving a lot” Buddha
“You
do not have to be rich to give generously” unknown
“Giving
is not about making a donation; It is about making a difference” Kathy Calvin
“How
we give is more important than how much we give” unknown
“Remember,
happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more”
H Jackson Brown
Jr.
“The manner of
giving is worth more than the gift” Pierre Corneille
“Happiness …. Consists
in giving and in serving others” Henry Drummond

The second photo of the tree looks like a painting Genevieve - quite beautiful. How lovely to damp the leaves before eating from them! The quotes are very profound ... thank you and have a lovely weekend xxx
