Last week a student came to me with a problem stating that he is very frightened, and feels paralyzed with fear. He is unable to focus and concentrate on the subjects. I tried to explore the underlying reasons and I found that he has been spending too much of time convincing himself that he is useless, he is not worth and will not succeed in his exams.
As a result too much of negative thinking has led him to a state of insecurity, fear and anxiety. The fear has created a mountain for him.
There is another student who did have concentration issues to deal with, and he was helped to deal with this thinking pattern; he was encouraged and appreciated to look at all the positive aspects of his life. The result is that he topped the class. The faith that we instill in ourselves and others will definitely help us move mountains. What are we nurturing in our minds every day in our lives is very important?
“Two great forces in the world are more important than all the others. One is faith and the other is fear and faith is stronger than fear.” Norman Vincent Peale
May you be guided with faith!
