April brought an end to the season of lent and celebration of Easter, which brightened up with prayers, wishes and blessings of the Easter Season, where we had our Priest from the parish visiting our homes for Easter blessings. There are so many blessings in this month and it’s a joy to keep counting, so here goes my gratitude list:
This month the Department of Education released a notification that we will be getting our certificate for the YOGA. Our group was the second batch and we were so happy that we were getting the certificate. This adds to my resume as well as my profession as a counselor. I always integrate skills for bringing in quality to my sessions.
I am thankful for the opportunity, for the teachers /my Guru’s who have taught me and helped me to succeed in learning all the Asana s and the Pranayama’s which are useful for Counseling.
I am grateful to some of my friends who celebrated EID and one of them sent gifts for all of us in the group. I am happy to receive and appreciate her thoughtfulness.
World Health Day was celebrated in the University College of Science and we had a Free Mega Camp for all the students and the staff, wherein Lion’s Club, STAR Hospitals, Dr Aggarwal’s and two more other hospitals were collaborating.
This was an opportunity to get our general medical health checkup. There were blood tests, BP, Sugar RBP, ECG, Eye checkup etc. was organized and I also checked my own health and glad that all is well and I am grateful that my work space offers these surprises.
I am grateful that we implemented a new project related to addiction, wherein we got the sanctioned amount and we were able to even complete the short-term project. A lot of time went in attending these workshops, Counseling some of the clients, doing the reports and being available for the implementation at Sahayam.
I am also grateful for another certification in Nutrition – I missed the date for the convocation and then went personally to the Regional Centre and picked up my Certificate for Diploma in Nutrition and Health Education (DNHE). It feels good to constantly keep learning and acquiring knowledge that adds to my existing skills.
I am glad we celebrated a couple of birthdays of my friends from two different groups – one was from my school buddies and another from the college mates. It was time for some gathering, meeting, catching up, good food and enjoying the company of one another. These groups keep me happy and motivated. We are always eager to check on one another update about our lives to stay connected.
I am happy to visit a patient – a friend’s husband who is not being well for a long time, and this friend of mine has been taking care of him for the last two years. Since she lives close by I could regularly be in touch with her. I am so impressed by her commitment to him – just spending a little time was so inspiring.

Courtesy SoudhamaniI loved what she created staying home looking after him, monitoring his schedule and adjusting herself to the schedule, the best part of her creation was she used the best out of the waste- I clicked some pictures, affirmed her and had a cup of coffee and came back home with gratitude.
I am grateful for my neighbor who regularly shared the mulberry fruits with me – they have a mulberry tree and every time she plucked these fruits, she shares with us some of these fruits which are now become rare. I enjoyed having them as a snack and felt thankful for her thoughtfulness.
April was extremely hot and our ACs were stopped working and being on the first floor was like sitting in the oven. Thanks be to God that I got an old contact person referred by my head and it was repaired within a week. I am grateful for the environment and for the people who care.
YWCA day is celebrated globally, on the 24th April to honor women’s leadership rights. This year’s theme was “FORWARD TOGETHER” I attended this celebration at the YWCA of Secunderabad meeting all the members, and some guests, while the programme committee plans and implements it, reminding us of the community connection and collective action empowering women across countries.
I am glad to meet Sr Joshina -my sister’s friend after a long time as she was getting transferred to another community. I remember her with gratitude for all the encouragement, support and motivation by which I pursued my education, and still continue to update and keep learning even no.
We have a professional group of friends working in the area of Mental Health. One of them celebrated her birthday, she invited us for a breakfast so that we could get back to our workplaces on time. I had a great time, as the breakfast had spread of variety, from south Indian to north Indian and western buffet too. We ate to our hearts content, hugged each other, cut the cake for her and came back to our work places happy with return gifts. We went to celebrate the birthday lady, and ended up celebrating ourselves too.
I am blessed with my daughter who works hard, thoughtful and sensitive. Today being David’s birthday, she offered prayers and went for mass, bought a cake and got it cut for him in the church and also distributed cakes to everyone who attended mass.
I am always proud of her and the way she’s becoming independent, making her own decisions and at the same time acknowledging both of us for whatever we do for her, brings in so much joy to our lives. I thank the Lord every day for her in our lives.
Today being the last day of this month and there is still so much to be grateful for ; those who offer their services to us in various ways, despite the weather we have all the supplies at home, a safe place to stay, to work, and to pray and meet. I continue my journey with gratitude, hoping that you had a great month.
Thanks for reading my post.
Be Happy & Be Blessed !
