D – FOR DREAM VALLEY

D is for Dream Valley, which is located in Hyderabad, 15 kms from the city; we have to pass through a village to reach this place. 

The reason we chose this place was mainly for children, especially during holiday times, our children spend a lot of time either watching television or playing computer games- there is hardly any physical activity and as working mother, this is big concern for me to ensure that my child is busy and happy.  I keep looking for summer camps, vacation bible school, dance classes and at other times find some nearby parks, gardens and help my daughter to have some fun in holidays.

I am glad that through my friends, I found this place which is lovely to relax and plenty of water games for children..... Some of the games are enjoyable and few of them were frightening to me but my daughter loved it.

We were four friends with our children, as our husbands are busy with their work and find difficult to take time – we took charge find some way to be with the children and give them some fun time. 

We have to book in advance and we did have a little confusion as we entered, the staff at the reception were not aware of our bookings... it looked like there was communication gap.. but once we stepped in the ambience was extremely good, with well laid out lawns, separate play area for children and delicious breakfast and lunch.

I and my daughter had a great time along with our friends.  The swimming pool was clean and maintained well – I and my daughter carried our own swim suits and even took an extra one if any one required.  There are swim suits available for rent at a nominal price, and decent place for shower and to change…. We had lot of fun in the pool and it was a refreshing experience… we enjoyed swimming for an hour and later on went for a rain dance under a tree … there was a DJ and good Hindi songs played and it was such pleasurable experience to dance like nobody’s watching.. after a very long time, I felt like a little child forgetting everything our age, our titles and designations we were all together having fun.

The children’s park area is also done well and it’s a nice feeling to be children and play with them and the lawns are clean enough to lie down feel connected to the earth and looking up at the vast blue sky can fill us with joy. This place has become very memorable experience for me; and I relive with gratitude for having been to this plac.
