LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE

This quote below is often attributed to Nelson Mandela, but is taken from the book Return To Love. When ever I read this, I really feel motivated from within, because many times in my life I do not want others to feel low or insecure, and I end up being less than myself, this quote is a powerful statement of who were are meant to be – as I write this note, I am feeling the strength of these statements, so true as to who we are.. ….not to be…… Our identity is in God, and we are here to manifest his glory.

We are called to shine as lights and as stars, the moment we accept this for ourselves, as the saying goes we allow others to be the same. What a profound thought, and I am happy to share this with gratitude, with all my friends, May we liberate ourselves, and help others to liberate themselves.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that frightens us. We ask ourselves 'who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.

It's not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
