K –FOR KODAIKANAL

Kodaikanal is a city on the hills of the Dindigula District in the state of Tamilnadu India. According to the Wikipedia its name in the Tamil language means “The Gift of the Forest” Kodaikanal is referred to as the “Princess of Hill stations.”
It is said that the word Kodaikanal is an amalgamation of two words kodai and kanal and there 4 different types of interpretations. This place is supposed to be the summer forest; wherein the nearby people would come here to take a retreat.

I visited this place last month, when I went to attend an international seminar at Madurai in Tamilnadu, India.  One day we were taken to this hill station which is 7,200 ft high, and it’s a lovely place with natural beauty surrounded by hills, lake, waterfalls and pleasant weather.

I enjoyed eating plenty of sweet corns, there was a shower and the whole place was filled with white fog… there are plenty of homemade chocolates available.  I stayed there for a whole day and it was a refreshing experience…..

Now I long to go there once again as a family. Kodaikanal is also referred to as the “Princess of Hill stations”.
