I am glad to write this post for this month; with a gap of
two months as I was busy with travel and work kept me away from writing. Hope
to continue and make some efforts to shed some light in the darkness.
Anila Jyothi Reddy is a native of Warangal District of Telengana
and born in a peasant family, wherein the family struggled to make both ends
meet, and Anila was forced to join the government orphanage as a motherless
child. She studied in the orphanage from class 5 to class 10 facing all the
challenges of working in the warden’s house doing the household chores, for
which she was compensated to meet her basic needs.
She was married at a very young age of 16 due to poor financial conditions
in her family and by the time she was 18 she became mother of two
children. Her struggle continued as she
now had two girls to take care of and this experience made her take up
agriculture labour work for very small amount, and she inspired the others who
worked in the field, until she got an opportunity to work as a volunteer to
educate the adults after some training to teach in the night school in the
village, which fetched her some amount.

The authorities were impressed by her initiatives and dedicated
and promoted her to another level. She later on completed her graduation and
post graduation from Distance Learning Education and even did her Bachelors in
education and went on to become a
government teacher, coming from small town with her patience, perseverance, and
commitment she dared to dream big and with determination facing plenty of
hurdles she went on to become an entrepreneur launching Key Software Solutions
Inc., a private limited company in Phoenix in 2001.
There was no turning back
for Anila as she got both her daughters educated as engineers and got them
married too… for further reading here’s the link..
Nothing is impossible for those who believe and dare to move on
despite challenges in life, Anila is an example of how no matter what is your
situation, you have the power to change and bring in light becoming a torch
bearer to those women who are deprived and bound by their own beliefs and
traditions.
